I'll be back in the fourth quarter.

Here is my reflection for the third quarter. It flew by, and we'll be welcoming the fourth quarter in less than a month. This lesson of this quarter made me more grateful for the work that we do but at the same time pabicked beacuase they asked us to do research in our community. At first, I didn't understand why we needed to make list about our community; I didn't know what to put in the blanks, but later on, I did some research and learned more about my community. In the third quarter, we focused on community research. By concentrating on community-based research, I learned a lot about our own community. I have also found that community-based research can make a significant contribution to our understanding of how local environments affect the health of people. Later, I discovered that we will require everything we created in the fourth quarter for site design. Everything makes sense now, but regardless of why we did it, I'm happy with it and grateful for the opportu...

Day of Valor

Araw ng Kagitingan (lit. 'Day of Valor'), also known as Bataan Day and Bataan and Corregidor Day, is a national observance in the Philippines which commemorates the fall of Bataan during World War II. It falls on April 9, although in 2009, its celebration was moved to April 6 to avoid it from coinciding with Maundy Thursday. The Philippine Veteran's Week and Araw ng Kagitingan are significant because they pay tribute to all Filipino heroes who fought and died for the country's freedom and liberty. The annual festival takes place on Corregidor Island to commemorate and honor Philippine veterans, patriots, martyrs, and defenders. We must note that Araw ng Kagitingan is a festival of bravery, not just a holiday. “Bataan has fallen. The Philippine-American troops on this war-ravaged and bloodstained peninsula have laid down their arms. With heads bloody but unbowed, they have yielded to the superior force and numbers of the enemy.” Reference:https://www.officialgazette.gov...

The Lenten Season

For Christians, Lent is the season of reflection, fasting and aimsgiving. This season commemorates not only the passion of Jesus Christ but also the time he went to the desert to reflect and meditate for 40 days. This season exhorts Christians to follow in the footstep of Christ by helping those who are in need while resisting the temptation of the material world. One of the most  important aspect of Lenten season is the spirit of Reflection. It offers us a time to reflect on our actions if our actions were in Line with Christ. This kind of reflection allows us to gain insight on what we need to do to help us follow Christ. It opens us a chance to change ourselves for the better. Another aspect of Lent is the spirit of sacrifice. God sacrifice his own son for us. Christian believe that by  sacrificing a little aspect of our lives they can repay and share the sacrifice done by Jesus during his passion that’s why Christian do fasting. Even though Lent is a season of Refle...
