Binatbatan is the process of beating cotton podsto remove the seeds. This is shown through the binatbatan street dancing. Its been two years since the Covid 19 pandemic strucked not just our country but the whole world. City’s economy was devastated due to covid 19 pandemic. Tourism in different parts of the Phlippines was affected including our province, Ilocos Sur. Despite of the Pandemic Vigan City’s Binatbatan festival still push through but following the Government protocols in order to celebrate its industries of Abel iloko. Though we are in the midst of pandemic the celebration of Binatbatan festival reminds us that there is hope, and soon in God’s perfect time everything will turned out ok and soon this pandemic will end. Going back to history the Binatbatan festival came a miracle. If we recall its past, 30 years ago pandemic broke and a huge number of death are recorded in such a short time. |They request for the visit to Vigan of the santo Cristo Milagroso of Sinait town.

The Santo Milagroso was venerated by the people with a nine day novena. When the Novena progressed for days, the number of death decreased and on the last day the epidemic stopped

Year 2021 and we are in the midst of Pandemic. The celebration of Binatbatan festival knowing its history will remind us that we may face trials in the midst of this pandemic but at the end of the rainbow there is hope that will surely brighten us. It remind us that God is always with us in the midst of this trial and that he will never leave us nor forsaken us so we must put all our trust to the lord and beg his mercy through our prayers.

The Lenten Season

For Christians, Lent is the season of reflection, fasting and aimsgiving. This season commemorates not only the passion of Jesus Christ but also the time he went to the desert to reflect and meditate for 40 days. This season exhorts Christians to follow in the footstep of Christ by helping those who are in need while resisting the temptation of the material world. One of the most  important aspect of Lenten season is the spirit of Reflection. It offers us a time to reflect on our actions if our actions were in Line with Christ. This kind of reflection allows us to gain insight on what we need to do to help us follow Christ. It opens us a chance to change ourselves for the better. Another aspect of Lent is the spirit of sacrifice. God sacrifice his own son for us. Christian believe that by  sacrificing a little aspect of our lives they can repay and share the sacrifice done by Jesus during his passion that’s why Christian do fasting. Even though Lent is a season of Refle...

My Hat Tip

Dear Mr, President              I don’t have much idea on who you are but as I watched you speak on television I've come to realized you eagerness, your passion and your love to the people and to our country. I can see in your eyes that you're tired of all the chaos we are going through right now for we are divided, those who love you so much and those who hate you so much but Mr. President please continue the good things you are doing for the sake of the Filipino people. Do the things you know it can ruin us, just to protect your people. I know that a lot of my Co-Filipino hate you so much and I can’t persuade them to look for the greater things you have done to this country but I am one of the few people who believes in you and I hope that this will be enough reason for you to keep going. We support you and we always have your back.                                  ...

A Mother's Love

Mother's Day is a celebration honoring the mother of the family or individual, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. It is celebrated on different days in many parts of the world, most commonly in the months of March or May. It complements similar celebrations, largely pushed by commercial interests, honoring family members, such as Father's Day, Siblings Day, and Grandparents Day. Mothers have taught us a lot, they have sacrificed for us, and they love us unconditionally. There is nothing that can compare to a mother's love. The love of a mother provides strength, comfort, healing, and warmth. They do everything they can to guide and provide a better life for their children. They say that Mother knows best; they may reprimand us, and there may be something we don't understand, but they know better, and all they do is for us. A mother's love is unlike any other. They keep us safe from injury and danger. Every year, we recog...
